PDPRS is a non-profit paranormal investigation group, based in Cheraw, South Carolina. We use the latest proven scientific equipment, to give our clients the best results possible. After the investigation is completed, we'll sit down with the family or client, and present them with all relevant evidence. Residual Haunting

    A residual haunting is the most common type of activity reported. In a residual haunting, the ghosts are not aware of their present day surroundings, and do not interact with the living. They seem to be stuck in a dimension, where they re-live their last days as living people. They see, feel, and experience their final existence, as humans on Earth. It's as though they're in a looped video, that plays over and over. We may sometimes see them going about their daily routines, or capture their voices as electronic voice phenomenon, but they are not aware of us. They will not answer questions, or acknowledge us in any way. They still see their surroundings, as it was when they lived as humans. Some may still be in their homes, that have long since been removed. Another house may have replaced theirs, but they never notice it. That's one reason that people sometimes report a ghost, that walks through walls, or sits in a chair that is not there. They remain stuck in their own worlds. Intelligent Haunting

    An intelligent haunting is characterized by an entity, that is completely aware of it's surroundings, and has the capability of interacting with the living. These types of hauntings are much more rare, than the residual type, and most people never witness these. This spirit can see it's surroundings, and communicate with the living. They can answer questions posed by living humans, and are even capable of having conversations with the living. These entities still retain their personalities, they had as living people. Some may be kind and helpful, while others may be cruel and mean. Any personality traits seen among the living, can be carried over by the intelligent ghost. They choose to stay behind, because of unfinished business, that is normally compounded by a strong emotion. These emotions can be love, hate, jealousy, revenge, or any human emotion, that is strong enough to make them want to stay on Earth. There are probably as many reasons, as there are ghosts. Demonic Haunting

    A demonic haunting is not actually a haunting, but an attachment to an individual. They have never lived on Earth as a human, and are more akin to an Angel. The demon is on one end of the spectrum, and an Angel on the other. They are basically complete opposites, and the Angel is totally good, and the demon totally bad. It is said that a demon despises the human race, and their one goal is to bring man to his knees in defeat. They supposedly have the same powers as Angels, but the demon's lord and master is Satan. They are smart and manipulative, and use any means necessary, to defeat God's children. They can be very subtle in their actions, or do things that are nothing short of miraculous. They have been here since the beginning of time, and their one goal is to defeat mankind. Demons don't have an attachment to a certain place like ghosts do, but are free to go anywhere they wish.
